About Me

Welcome to my website. I use this website to host various hobby and educational projects.

I began teaching as a special education teacher in 1997 and earned my National Board Certification in Exceptional Needs in 2001. I'm currently a School Based Technology Specialist with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) at Holmes Middle School. I also teach various technology classes for the county and have taught special education and National Board certification graduate courses for George Mason University.

Prior to moving into technology, I was a resource teacher with the Office of Staff Development and Training where I assisted with the new teacher mentoring programs and managed the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Program for FCPS, which included developing and teaching candidate support classes.

I finished my Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in 2006 in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech and started a Ph.D. program in the fall of 2007 at George Mason focusing on teacher education, technology integration, and education leadership .
